Promotion & Outreach Tools
As a Climate Emotion Support Group Facilitator, you'll want interested people to know when your Climate Emotion Group is happening, and (if they don't already know) what your Climate Emotion Group will involve from participants.
Figuring out how to invite people to your group will depend on your preferences and the type of outreach that feels right to you.

Consider these questions that will guide your promotional outreach:
-
Are you offering the Climate Emotion Support Group to specific people (i.e, parents, educators, climate activists, religious or community organizations)?
-
Are you planning on promoting your Climate Emotion Support Group online (email outreach, social media, your personal website) - or in-person (posting flyers, word-of-mouth)?
-
What language and messaging is most effective for your particular group and audience?
-
Are there people who might be interested in participating in your Climate Emotion Support Group who need specific outreach?
-
Are the people you're reaching out to familiar with support groups? If not, explaining what the group involves might be helpful and reassuring. Considering sharing "what happens in this group" into your communication messaging.
